1. Where can I find property information?

View and print a property record card for any parcel located within the city limits of St. Cloud through a property search on the GIS map. Instructions for accessing a property record card can be found here.

2. Where do I pay my property taxes?

Your property taxes are paid to the County Auditor/Treasurer in the county where your property is located. In St. Cloud, your property could be located in Benton, Sherburne or Stearns County. For more information please visit their websites below or contact the county offices.

3. What is a homestead classification and how do I apply?

Homestead classification applies to properties occupied as primary residence by their owners or a qualifying relative. Classification as homestead may qualify the property for a reduced classification rate, reduced taxable market value, property tax refund and/or special program eligibility. 4. How do I appeal my property value?

6. Why do we have property taxes? How are they calculated?

7. What special programs are available?

Some property owners may qualify for a special program that may lower the yearly property taxes. Some of the programs are listed below. Contact your local Assessor's Office here for more information regarding these programs and how to apply.

Green Acres:

• A tax deferral program allowing farm properties to be valued using an agricultural value instead of the estimated market value.

Rural Preserve:

• Provides property tax relief to taxpayers with eligible rural vacant land that is part of a farm, by allowing the property to be valued at an agricultural value.

Senior Citizens' Property Tax Deferral:

• You can defer on a portion of the property taxes you owe if you are 65 years old or older or your household income is $60,000 or less.
