Dogs do bark! If they bark only when someone walks by it is not a violation. However dogs that habitually bark, whine, or howl create a nuisance for the neighborhood. Barking that goes on for over six minutes is subject to an immediate $250 administrative citation when documented by the animal control officer. Call the Health and Inspections Department at 320-650-3164 if the dog is barking during business hours. The Animal Control Officer will investigate and notify the owner.
