Calling All Mask Makers

If you are looking for a way to put your time and talents to good use we are looking for community members willing to make and donate cloth masks.  These will go to our at-risk community members and Human Service Agency staff providing front line services.  In partnership with City of St. Cloud-Whitney Senior Center, United Way of Central MN and the St. Cloud YMCA, we are asking you to consider helping with this important task.  The link below from the CDC indicates how masks are used and beneficial.  It also shows a number of patterns for making masks. We will begin to distribute masks from Whitney Senior Center as soon as we have them to hand out.

Completed masks can be dropped off at Whitney Senior Center West Door (1527 Northway Drive, St. Cloud) in the white covered bin marked MASKS. The drop off bin will be available Monday-Friday 8-4:30p.m.  A second drop off location is at the service counter at Coborn’s Grocery Store located at 900 Cooper Ave. South, St. Cloud. Masks can be dropped during open store hours. Please give us a call if you are willing to help with this project.  We can be reached at 320-255-7245
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/diy-cloth-face-coverings.html
Thank you for your consideration to this important project.

Share the Yale Science of Well-Being Class
One of the big ideas behind "The Science of Well-Being," Yale's most popular class of all time, is that true happiness doesn't come from your circumstances or your achievements. It comes, professor Laurie Santos, PhD, told CNN, from simple daily practices like being grateful, living in the present moment, and connecting with others.
