Please be advised that on Thursday, October 11, 2012, 1st Avenue South from 8th to 11th Street South will be closed to through traffic to pave the final wear course on this public improvement project. Weather permitting, this closure is expected to last one day. If unacceptable weather is experienced on Thursday, this work will be scheduled for the next acceptable day.
A detour for through traffic will not be posted. Please note that sidewalks adjacent to the construction site will be closed as well.
Local neighborhood traffic is asked to find an alternate route that does not cross this segment of 1st Avenue South.
