Volunteer Opportunities
The City of St. Cloud offers many opportunities for residents to get involved to improve water quality.
St. Cloud has a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for both individuals and groups to participate in.
Adopt-a-Pond and Adopt-a-Roadway are similar programs where residents, groups, or businesses commit to cleaning up trash around local stormwater ponds or roads. By filling out a simple application, volunteer groups can become involved in doing their part to keep the community clean, plus the City will put up a sign near your designated pond or roadway in recognition of your group’s commitment!
Adopt-a-Rain Garden entails trash pickup and light weeding in a local rain garden to better enhance its stormwater treatment effectiveness and aesthetic beauty.
If you’re looking for a one-time volunteer opportunity; community clean ups, storm drain stenciling, and Adopt-a-Rain garden may be a better fit, as they only require a one-time obligation. These options are also easy to accomplish individually.
Adopt-a-Drain is the newest volunteer program provided by the City. This volunteer option is extremely easy to get involved in. Simply visit adopt-a-drain.org to select storm drains near your home or business to adopt and commit to keeping those drains clean from trash and other debris. To adopt a drain, do so directly through the Adopt-a-Drain website.
Use the below form to sign-up for our various water quality improvement volunteer opportunities or visit adopt-a-drain.org to adopt a stormdrain. Please call 320-255-7226 or email stormwater@ci.stcloud.mn.us with questions. We hope to work with you soon!
