Dumpster Permit

No dumpsters are allowed on the street unless approval has been granted by the Engineering Department. If there is no room on the property for a dumpster, property owner may request a Dumpster Permit from the Engineering Department to allow the dumpster to be placed on the street for a maximum of 3 days.

If approved, the dumpster must have reflectors on, be covered at night, and have no spikes on the bottom. The dumpster permit must be displayed where it can visibly be seen by Parking Control. During the winter season, dumpsters are not allowed in the area of the city where there is a parking ban. In areas that have seasonal calendar parking restrictions, the dumpster must be moved each night.

Required permit information (dumpster location, dates requested, contact name, contact phone) can be submitted to engineering@ci.stcloud.mn.us. There is no permit fee.
