St. Cloud Park & Recreation is excited to partner with St. Cloud State University College of Science and Engineering to offer this event for curious, nature loving kids, adults, & families alike! Learn from SCSU professors about the night sky and the celestial objects we can see with our own eyes and make your own planisphere in the park shelter, then take a look through the telescopes to get a fresh perspective on the stars and planets above! Pre-registration is required. Online Registration available.

*Please note: Pre-registration is required for all attendees. All youth under age 18 are required to have at least one registered guardian present at the event.*

Winter Chill

Bundle up and enjoy free outdoor winter fun for the whole family at Riverside Park! Winter activities include sledding, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, arts and crafts, snow painting, prizes, and much more. Free ski rentals and introductory lessons provided by the Nordic Ski Club & Youth Ski League of Central MN. Refreshments and snacks will be provided. Bring your own winter activity equipment from home (snowshoes, skis, sleds, etc.); snowshoes will be available for use, while supplies last. No registration required.

The shelter at Riverside Park, 1725 Kilian Blvd, will be available for public use on the dates listed below. A limited supply of snowshoes are available for check out during this time; a deposit or valid driver's license will be required. More dates TBD!
