Brownfield Assessment Program
What is the program?
The City of St. Cloud has received $400,000 in grants from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to perform brownfield assessments on properties within the city. Funds can be used to perform assessments on properties suspected or known to have contamination, such as petroleum, lead, and asbestos. Assessments on a property can include research of the historical use of the property and previously documented contamination, physical sampling and testing of the site to determine if contamination exists, and corrective action planning.
How do I get my property signed up for the program?
Complete and submit the Brownfield Site Nomination Form included in the Resources section of this webpage. You can also call or email Matt Glaesman at (320) 255-7218 if you have any questions. Sites will be evaluated for eligibility by the Planning Department and by the EPA.
