GREATER Education


The City of St. Cloud's largest public school system is the St. Cloud Area ISD #742.  ISD #742 consists of   13 schools (8 elementary, 3 middle, and 2 high) serving a total enrollment of more than 10,000 students.  The new $104.5 million Tech High School opened in Fall 2019 and is home to 1,800+ students.  The 320,000 sq. ft. building is located on 69 acres in south St. Cloud.  St. Cloud's largest private school system is the St. Cloud Catholic Schools system. 

St. Cloud's largest university is St. Cloud State University (SCSU) is the state's second-largest public university.  SCSU is ranked as an "American's Top College" by Forbes magazine based on student satisfaction, post-graduate success, student debt, graduation rate and academic success and ranked as a "Money's Best College" by Money magazine based on quality of education, affordability and outcomes.
St. Cloud's largest community college is the St. Cloud Community & Technical College. The college proudly claims a 97% job placement rate within one year of graduation.
 
There are more than 35,000 enrolled students currently studying in the St. Cloud MSA.

2013 Graduation
Graduate Employment Outcomes Tool
The MN Dept. of Employment and Economic Development developed the Graduate Employment Outcomes Tool to show how many recent Minnesota graduates found Minnesota jobs one and two years after graduation.  It shows median wages earned and the top industries where graduates found jobs.  User can search by year, location, award type, institution types and instructional program.  This tool is especially useful for prospective students, to set realistic expectations for employment and wages following graduation in a specific program.  To learn more about this tool, click here.
