The St. Cloud Arts Commission is an advisory board on arts and culture whose mission is to be a catalyst for creating a community in which the arts can flourish through community programming, public funding initiatives and advising City leaders on arts matters.
The Heritage Preservation Commission (HPC) recognizes, protects and enhances St. Cloud's heritage by preserving the City's built environment and community integrity. The HPC guides owners in alterations to the exterior of buildings.
The Planning Commission is charged with long-range planning and acts in an advisory role to the City Council. The Planning Commission is responsible for matters regarding development, zoning and capital improvements.
The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) hears and decides all appeals from decisions of the Zoning Administrator, requests for variances, requests for Conditional Use Permits and Special Exception Permits.
The Minden Township/City of St. Cloud Orderly Annexation Area (OAA) was established in February 2001. As a result, the Minden Township Orderly Annexation Area Planning Board was created to administer planning and zoning for properties located in the orderly annexation area.
